The Fox and Fiddle Pub on Bloor St W.
Objectives
The Fox and Fiddle has two business aims to be addressed through a complete redesign of its website:
- Urgent phase one launch, this was required to have a 'bare bones' version of the site live in time for U of T frosh week, an important time for the business. Publicity, particularly for special offers, party planning and other services.
- Fax reduction, the pub specialises in catering for parties and guests at the adjoining hotel and needs to fax out significant numbers of menus to customers every week. By making all of the food menus available on the website this manual work is removed.
Methods
Hogtown Consulting provided a complete range of services to create the Fox and Fiddle Bloor St website, including:
- Creating the design concept and building the website.
- Content creation including a new location map and converting existing print materials for use on the web.
- Working with existing graphics and sourcing photography for the website visual design.
- Assisting with the writing and editing of the site content.
Results
The new website design is still very fresh, and to be launched in phases, so final results are not yet in. However it is expected to meet the business objectives set of reducing the need for faxing out food menus and increasing awareness of special offers and events run by the pub.
