Election data visualisation using Processing
An experimental way to explore election results. I was motivated to build this to try and understand Ontario's recent election results better (he 2007 complete results haven't been released yet, so 2003 will do for now). Also an interesting project to try out the Processing 'an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions'.
Try the app
The visualisation requires java and runs inside the browser. Try it: small (700px) or large (1000px) - large is best if you have the monitor for it.
Trouble using the app?
I've has reports that the applet runs rather slowly on older machines, no surprise really as I haven't optimised it much at all. Also it really does benefit from a large screen. If you have any other problems please let me know.
