Now with an About Me page

Typically the arrival of an About Me page wouldn’t rate a blog post. But as I’ve been intending to get around to creating one for Hogtown for about two years now this is a marginally special day.

Here it is in all its expositional glory: about me.

  1. Very cool. Love the links to the bookshelf, reads, and music. One of my favorite things to do when I go to somebody’s house is look through their bookshelves. What better way to get to know somebody?

  2. Thanks. That’s what I thought about the bookshelf thing too, what better window on the soul? Well not many that are so easily Flickered.

I had in mind to build some sort of web widget, bookshelf app. But that wasn’t happening anytime soon. So I opted for the simplest solution to get what I wanted done, trying to make that my new mantra.

  3. I like it… found through Michael’s blog (from ISF). It reminds me I have to write a similar page in english for my site… Another “top priority” project! I’ve played the “big guys” game too and I’ve found it’s better to just be up front about what you do / who you are. Well done!

  4. Thanks Fabian. Creating an about page had been a ‘top’ priority for me for ages too. That’s the beauty of linking to existing bits of your online persona, it’s effective and really quick. It probably too me 30 minutes to put that page together, maybe 35 once you figure in fixing the typos that Michael pointed out.
