Mary
Yep, I'm using Wordpress which I host myself (requires more tech know how, but allows greater flexability). You can also get a free hosted Wordpress account at wordpress.com, which requires little tech knowledge to get going. Probably a good place to start for a non-tech.

One piece of advice, if you're using a hosted service (such as wordpress.com) and starting a business blog or expect to expand you blog anything beyond hobby level then it's worth registering a domain name and pointing it to your new blog. That way you can use an address like www.marysgreatblog.com, which looks more professional than marysgreatblog.wordpress.com and you also you can take the address with you if you ever want to move your blog.

What do you use to power your blog? Anything you would recommend to the non-techie newbie?

Thanks
